Who we do it for

We provide care and treatment for anyone over the age of 18 who suffers from acute acute mental illness, in particular those suffering with:

  • Stress and anxiety states
  • Psycho - sexual problems
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorders
  • Phobias
  • Depression
  • Bi - polar mood swings
  • Schizophrenia


Referral is through Consultants psychiatrists, social workers, community psychiatric nurses.

A specialist psychology service is available at Pfera Hall which is both flexible and responsive to individual needs. The service provides a range of inputs to both the staff and service users at Pfera Hall. Our team has specialist interests in autism, dual diagnosis, risk assessment and non aversive behaviour management.

Individual Psychology work includes:

  • Cognitive assessment and therapies.
  • Anger management self control sessions which usually are conducted on an individual basis.
  • Social skills training which takes place on an individual as well as group basis.
  • Psychometric assessments
